S-Club: Good times tour 2023

Working alongside Lewis White from Pixels and Noise, we helped develop and design the Notch components of the tour.

We ingested content directly into the block for playback, allowing us to blend IMAG screens within the content, this created a very streamlined workflow that Notch really lends itself too. Any changes in design or placement was easily adapted too in a number of ways depending on the situation.

As well as IMAG, Notch was used to create full 3D scenes for; Stronger, Bring the House Down, Friday Night and Bring it all Back.

Stronger, Bring the House Down, Friday Night was a medley of songs, so needed seamless transitions between looks. We created each look independently with ON/OFF controls and then merged all 3 into one scene, the transitions were then sequenced by the disguise operator, giving us flexibility on timing in case they changed during rehearsals.
To give an element of interaction between the physical and digital worlds key lighting components in the scene were controlled by the lighting operator and camera feeds were used as sources of reflection.
These elements lent to the forced perspective of the scene to create convincing backdrops that moved and reacted to the real world.
